Next, the crew built a series of cross braces and welded them into the interior to support the body structure while the main cabin floor was removed.

Then, the body was removed and mounted on a fixture.







Once it was properly braced and fixtured, the crew removed the rusty main cabin floor.

A new full-floor was ordered from CARS, Inc., and would replace the rusty original.

Before the new floor section could be installed, there were several other areas that required attention. First, the passenger toe board was repaired with some new steel.

The rocker panels were toast, so replacements were needed to repair the rust.





The new rockers were obtained from CARS Inc. and installed in place of the rusty originals.
