New lenses and other parts... must be nice. Rivieras suck for that. And something tells me there will be NO WAY this paint will resemble anything close to the way it came from the factory. I see no orange peel.

And I'm surprised you didn't break in the engine on the dyno. I know it is a stock rebuild, but it is nice to confirm what the engine is making. It is also nice to have an engine that gets bolted into the car that you can just fire up and not have to mess with. And it is also a nice way to have access to replace bad lifters and stuff without having to do it when it is already installed in the car.

Really nice job. I love that color! And I especially dig that seat pattern. Very cool for a mid 60's American car to have come like that.

There are some parts available for this car, but not many. We restored a lot of stuff, and the plating bill was ridiculous. Still, it's not as hard as a Riv!

After all the hard work, the ‘66 7-Litre is finally finished. We are super happy with the results, and our crew at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop did an outstanding job on the car. The owner is happy, and the car drives like a dream. As a HUGE added bonus, the car was featured in the June 2017 edition of Hemmings Muscle Machines Magazine, even landing on the cover!

We’d like to thank everyone who had a hand in this project for the efforts, and thank all who read this thread start to finish. We hope you enjoyed the trip, it’s been a heck of a ride. Let us know if we can help with your dream car!

Like all your cars, too nice to drive. I'd be a nervous wreck just backing the damn things out of the garage! You do such nice work, Kevin. Kudos! I hope the article in HMM gave you a huge plug.

Thanks for the kind words again Yardley! While this is certainly a very nice car, it was meant to be driven and enjoyed. It drives really nicely, but you do have to be a bit careful with it. It's a big car and doesn't slip into parking spots that easily! The Hemmings Muscle Machines team was very kind to us, they are good friends and we are lucky to have these kinds of opportunities!

Just got my Hemmings Muscle Machines mag in the mail. Great pic of the car. What a great article on a fantastic resto.

Kudos to Kevin and his crew. You deserve the recognition for such nice work.

Jim
