http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com http://www.facebook.com/musclecaroftheweek This is one of those cars that sets your imagination on fire. A long, Raven black ‘64 Ford Galaxie 500 that glistens like a prize fighter in the ring, with a heart just as big. Ford was good at building big and comfy family cars, but they also did a heck of a job stripping them down into racing versions, like our ...

http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com http://www.facebook.com/musclecaroftheweek The car-buying public thought differently of racing in the early 1960s, and the American automakers knew that cars that won races were great tools to drive customers to dealer showrooms. You know the old saying, what “won on Sunday sold on Monday”, This 1964 Ford Thunderbolt from The Brothers Collection is a gr...

Our customer was inspired by this your build and we are now undertaking the challenge. Except we are using a 1967 instead of the 68 you guys used. I am seeing why the 68 is the better option. I am curious about the headers you choose. Why were the midlength headers chosen over the long tube? Is it a fit mint issue. It looks light in there. Also, whci Ac compressor did you use. I see Vintage Air setup was used. They do not make a conversion for the '67. My pan is to utilize the original system and a[…]Read more...

Ford did it so much better than GM throughout the 60's and early 70's. GM wanted a "flush fit" look, but in using channels and ribbon adhesive to secure the glass they created channels that just catch and hold water.Shame Ford didn't think that far ahead when they designed the cowl on first gen mustangs. 700 HP 1969 Camaro 540 BBC Detroit Speed Suspension, Holley EFI, Forgeline Wheels and More At V8 Speed & Resto
We all dig Hot Wheels cars, and Sean Svendsen builds cusom versions that go to a whole new level of cool. He strips the cars, polishes the bodies, sprays them with Spectraflame transluceant paint for a vintage look, re-tires them with reproduction redlines, and the results are awesome. These are just some of the cars he's done, and you can see his other creations, including model kits and artwork, at his website www.svensworldofwheels.com. We'd love to build some full-size versions of these at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop. Which is your favorite?
There are good times and bad times when working in your garage on classic cars, and on this episode of V8 Radio, Mike Clarke and Kevin Oeste share some tips to help your garage time more successful, enjoyable, and less stressful. Life would certainly be less stressful in the garage in our lead photo, but unfortunately, that's just a cool pic we got from the Racedeck website. Throw in the trivia question, some project stories, and a few laughs and you've got another super-thrilling episode of V8 Radio!

On this episode of V8 Radio, Mike Clarke and Kevin Oeste go back in time as Mike made the mistake of asking Kevin how he got started in this business. It started back in 1996 when Kevin and his buddy Paul Wieshuber embarked on the Hot Rod Power Tour in a car worthy of a junkyard, and it all went downhill from there. Who'd have thought he would have landed a job with Hot Rod and eventually start V8TV and the V8 Speed & Resto Shop? They also chat about the 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL 427 R-Code featured on Muscle Car Of The Week, discuss a V8TV track day, ratchet up the trivia questions, chat about Jim Wangers and Pontiac history, a story of David Freiburger taking a tumble, and have a few laughs on this episode.
