Congrats to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop crew and to car owner Al on scoring 994 / 1000 points and winning a Street Modified Gold award at the 2014 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals! The crew did a fantastic job on the 1969 Chevelle!
The 1965 Chevy Impala project is progressing, and it just came out of the paint booth after being bathed in several coats of BASF Galsurit red and 5335 Glamour Clear. The car has come a long way since arriving at the shop! You can see all the build photos of this car HERE!
The 1955 Chevrolet Gasser "Mr. Chevy" and its companion 1955 Chevy hauler are featured in this month's Hemmings Muscle Machines Magazine! Congrats to owner Larry Frees and to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop Crew on their work on the truck! Video after "Read More" below!
We had a cool 1947 Lincoln street rod roll into the shop recently in search of an A/C system leak fix, and we ended up adding some cream and red old-school pin stripes to break up the acres of maroon paint. Our in-house painter J.J. handled the task with ease, putting his steady hand, squirrel-hair brush, and One Shot paints to add some style to this classic ride. Contact us at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop for striping on your ride!
If you're interested in a Chevrolet LS9 638 HP 6.2 V8 crate engine, (19244099 ) GM is offering a $2,000.00 Visa gift card as an incentive. This is the same V8 found in the ZR1 Corvette.
The extra $2k definitely makes the engine a little more attractive!

Our crew fabricated this transmission tunnel for the 1964 Chevy C10 pickup truck being built in the V8 Speed & Resto Shop because the original just wasn't big enough to go around the new overdrive transmission, and the original floor was full of holes. We're making new parts like this all the time, it's a shame it will be under carpeting when the truck is finished!
