We were pretty stoked to see the 1955 Chevy gasser "Mr. Chevy" and hauler featured in the March, 2015 Hot Rod Magazine!  Thanks Hot Rod!

Mr. Chevy in Hemmings Muscle Machines

The 1955 Chevrolet Gasser "Mr. Chevy" and its companion 1955 Chevy hauler are featured in this month's Hemmings Muscle Machines Magazine!   Congrats to owner Larry Frees and to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop Crew on their work on the truck!    Video after "Read More" below!

Mr. Chevy on Hot Rod Website

We were all extremely excited to learn that Mr. Chevy has landed the lead image on Hot Rod's website!    They posted a gallery of the first 75 cars at SEMA, with Mr. Chevy leading the way.    It's quite an honor!    Click the pic to see the gallery!

http://www.v8tvshow.com  - Vintage straight-axle cars, often known as "Gassers", are popular wherever they go.   Maybe it's the sky-high stance or the cartoon-like appearance.  Or perhaps it's the way these cars transport you to a simpler time when racers would try just about anything to go faster.  Whatever it is, these cars draw crowds of people because they look like nothing else on the track.   "Mr. Chevy" is a period-perfect example of a 1955 Chevy Hardtop gasser raced from 1968 through 1976 where it was parked.   Larry Frees knew the original owner and rescued Mr. Chevy at an estate sale.   The car remains true to it's last-raced form in '76, and the hauler was recently restored by it's owner, with bodywork and paint handled in by the V8 Speed & Resto Shop.

1955 Chevy Gasser Mr. Chevy

We recently brought the 1955 Chevy Gasser "Mr. Chevy" and it's recently V8 Speed & Resto Shop and owner restored '55 Chevy car hauler to Gateway Motorsports Park for some cool photos on the strip.    We'll be making some postcards and other cool stuff from the shoot, but here's a sneak peak at one of the shots from the shoot!

Mr. Chevy on Hauler

The 1955 Chevy gasser "Mr. Chevy" has finally been reunited with it's restored hauler and they are both ready for action!   The vintage '55 race car is sitting on the actual '55 Chevy hauler that used to carry it to the races back in the day, and until recently, they have not been seen in this formation since 1976.    Look for a full video feature on the car and hauler coming to V8TV soon.    The car remains true to it's last-raced form in '76, and the hauler was recently restored by it's owner, with bodywork and paint handled in by the V8 Speed & Resto Shop.
