Once we got the Firebird disassembled, we decided it would be best to repaint the firewall, clean up the underside, and put some work into the subframe. Once we had all those areas to the same level as the rest of the car, we put in the 468 motor and Tremec transmission. We also installed a Hydratech Hydroboost system with a CPP master cylinder for improved brakes. Then we tied it all together with an oval tube exhaust system, E-85 friendly fuel lines and tank, and some Royal Purple break in oil for the first start.
