1971 Olds "S71" Fender Patch
We're beginning the bodywork on our 1971 Olds project, and we're trying to save all the original steel if possible.   This time, we're patching the lower fenders, as these cars - all GM "A" bodies in general - seem to have rusty holes in their fender bottoms.   The design allowed them to hold leaves, pine needles, and dirt at the bottom of the fenders, and this debris eventualy rusted them from the inside out.   We obtained some patches from YearOne, and today we're cutting out the old and installing the new.   We fabricated new supports to replace the rusty backside braces to keep the rust away for good.

The Mustang Bullitt: Rebirth of a Tribute
In the world of automotive design and marketing, Ford's J Mays, (global vice president of design) has a proven track record with finding inspiration of the past. It should be no surprise, then, that for the 40th anniversary of the popular Steve McQueen tour de force, Mays is once again looking backward in order to push Ford forward with the recently released 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt.

HTP Tungsten Sharpener
TIG welding is all about precision - and you need to keep that tungsten point sharp when welding.    Bench grinders work, but unless you have one dedicated to your tungsten sharpening, you may be contaminating your tungsten with debris from your grinding wheel.   The solution is this tungsten sharpener from HTP.

1970 Trans Am "Splitter" Hydroboost Install
In order to compete with Project Splitter's 850 natural horspower, we need to make sure this thing stops.   In addition to Baer hardware at all four corners, a Hydroboost booster from Hydratech will provide the clamp to bring this monster to a halt, and fast!
