Terry Nish and the crew from Nish Motorsports have been chasing a long-standing land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Back in 1965, the Sommers Brothers went 425 mph in their 4 Hemi-powered 4-wheel drive streamliner... now the Nish team is trying to beat that world record with the Royal Purple sponsored single engine, 2 wheel drive streamliner. Terry Nish tells us about the 2300 HP 670 Cubic Inch Nitro burning Big Block Chevy currently in the car, and the plans for the 870 cubic inch naturally aspirated gasoline engine to come. They're knocking on the door of that record!

Prodigy Customs built this 1969 Pontiac Trans Am "Tribute" car not only for the SEMA show, but also to drive! And technically being owned by Prodigy's Lisa Serafine, you can bet this car will see some serious street time. Detials include an all aluminum Butler built Pontiac, custom styling and interior, one-off Forgeline wheels, the first Speedtech subframe, huge Wilwood brakes, and about a million other custom tricks. This car was another of our "SEMA Thrashers " interviews in our V8TVshow.com forum. There you'll find the pictures of how bad and rusty the original car was... it's amazing to see how it has transformed. The Prodigy Customs family did it again.

We're seeing alot of cars that mate new technology to original body styles in an attempt to create a car that looks to be from a different era but drives like it's brand new. The example in this video - the "Corpala" built by Eckert's Rod And Custom, mates a 1963 Chevy Impala to a new Corvette Z06 driveline and frame system. The car is not just a show car, it's built to drive, and the chassis - called the Torque 3G Chassis - will be available for purchase for your next project.
