I'd love to see some pics of your cars - I really like the '66 Impala and the Mustang... hell, they all sound cool. Big blocks in '32s are a handful! Post some shots - let's see your stuff!
You have gone through alot of cool projects it looks like... we'll keep you in mind as we play with a couple truck projects here on V8TV. You've already seen Kelle's '54, and we're also up to our eyes in a '49 Chevy and there may be a '69 Chevy truck coming down the pike later next year.
A new form for the 598, eh? We'll have to get some details on that one. Hey, maybe you could post the "pull of the week" and some dyno runs here. Shoot some clips and I'll give you the code to embed them into the forum post!
Thanks for the compliments. Who knows, you may be the winner of the Royal Purple this week... we'll announce the winner Saturday. Make sure you tell your friends to register on this site so we have their entry into the contest as well. It looks like we'll have another giveaway next week for registered forum members... we'll keep you posted!
OK, we recieved the AAW dash and underhood harness in the mail yesterday... very nice stuff! Looks 100% correct. We hope to install it by the end of next week.
More progress... Kelle and Scott got the top frame installed, but that seemed a little too easy, so we fully expect to fight with this one later. John was doing more panel fitment on the front of the car while Mark began the final wetsanding on the rear. Kelle also installed the pre-cut Dynamat in the tub. We're planning to shoot the outside color on Saturday! Stay tuned! And register in the forum if you have not registered yet for a chance to win a free case of Royal Purple Synthetic Oil! It's free and easy!
OK, this is a little cerebral, but what is the most satisfying aspect or the thing you like best about your car? And what is the car?
I'll go first: On the '69 Chevelle we're building, my favorite part is how "crisp" the car is. The lines are tight, the fit is great... it's just "crisp".
Hey - this would be a fun car for the Run Through The Hills event next year - it's a drive on public highways, an autocross, and a drag strip... your car is made for it!
I am so there Kevin. I am guessing this is after the Pro-touring Dinner. See ya there.
Yeah Bill, Thursday, 11/1, around 9pm, top of the Rio, VooDoo lounge, bring your thirst! Invite whoever you'd like to hang with. That's the only criteria.
Splitter is a 1970 Pontiac Trans Am being built with a split personality - it's got to be dragstrip quick and have road-course stick. Follow the build here on the forums, and check out all the video on Splitter's main page by clicking on the pic below!
