New Contest!   Let's play Guess How Much This 1969 COPO Camaro will fetch at Barrett-Jackson Auction this weekend!

The car is supposed to cross the auction block on Saturday, 1/17/2009, so guessing is closed at 12:00 NOON CENTRAL Saturday.

Simply post your guess on what the highest bid will be on this Camaro in this board.   The winner will receive a Royal Purple hat and clock!

We chose this car at random, it's not ours, we're not associated with it in any way, we don't get anything from the sale, and we're not encouraging anyone to bid on it.   We don't know the owner, have no deal with Barrett-Jackson, or any financial stake in the sale whatsoever.

The person with the closest guess to the actual highest bid will win, but if two guesses are equally close, the HIGHER will win.  One guess per entrant, please.

So here's the listing... post your guess before it's over.    You need to be a forum member to guess, so register if you're not.   We'll post the winner when the contest is over.    Good luck!

LOT # 1354.1 - 1969 COPO CAMARO

Formerly of the Reggie Jackson collection... powered by a 427, matching numbers, silver, everything wonderful.

Hmmm...  I'll say $120,000, but it's not a very well educated guess.

I appreciate those comments... and feel the same way.    But to be honest, this car needs a "keeper", not a yahoo like me who'll drive the snot out of it and ruin it's value.   I'd rather take a bare-bones '69 and build what I like.
