Hello there!

I've been watching some of the project videos available on the web and figured this might be a good forum to join Smiley I live in the north of Sweden (40 miles below the arctic circle) but I'm actually Dutch. I've been interested in pretty much anything with an engine in it as long as I can remember, but first got started with old cars about 5 years ago and right now I'm looking to buy my first musclecar. I know exactly what I want, a 1966 Chevelle Malibu SS or Sport Coupe, it must have a BB engine and preferably it should be black too. After searching for a while without anything showing up on this side of the atlantic, I finally found my dream car this week, on my 30th birthday even. I'm hoping to close the deal within a week or 2! Smiley

I'm currently working on a 1966 Volvo P210 which will hopefully make its way to the dragstrip next season. No V8 though, at least not yet. For budget reasons I'll be starting out using an old 2.3 liter Volvo engine with a big turbo. These engines are cheap and extremely tough even with mainly original components. Just last week a guy here dynoed his engine to 580 HP with the original crank, rods and pistons.

Other than cars my other big hobby is vintage snowmobiles for the winter half year. Last winter I got into vintage snowmobile racing and built a little racer, a Ski-Doo Elan with 640cc engine. For the upcoming winter I'll be upgrading to twin flatslide carbs, tuned pipes and a new primary clutch, and do a general engine overhaul. I'll also be using a new chassis, switching from a 1974 Elan to a 1971.

I'll throw in some pics as well while I'm at it.

The Chevelle I'm looking to buy

The P210 when I just got it, it actually looks even worse now (taken apart to the last bolt)

Hej!

Welcome to the forum.  I'm swedish myself!  My dad was born there and I've been over for several midsommar events.

Been to Marshtrand, Goteborg, Stockholm and Malmo.

I love your choice of car!
