New Contest: New Guess High Bid on the 1958 Chrysler 300D Hemi formerly Fuel Injection,   Win ARP & V8TV Goodies!

We're launching a new contest here on the V8TV Forum... this time, you guess the highest bid on a random eBay listing shown here for your chance to win some cool stuff from ARP and V8TV!

This super-cool 1958 Chrysler 300 is up on eBay. We don't have anything to gain from this auction, it's just fun to have a contest to guess what the winning bid will be!

We're just using the listing as a random target... nobody knows what the highest bid will be, so it's a fair contest.

According to the seller, this car originally had the super-rare 1958 Bendix Electrojector fuel injection system.    Although that's long gone, the car is still super cool.

Just post your guess in this thread before the auction is over on 7/30/09.  The person with the closest guess to the actual highest bid will win.  In the event of a tie, a "guess-off" will be held with another car to determine winner.  If two guesses are equally as close, but one over the highest bid and one under, the higher guess will win.

You do not have to bid on the car to play, just post your guess as to what the highest bid will be.

Winner will receive an ARP Hat & Catalog, and a V8TV Hat!

So here's the listing... post your guess before it's over.   You need to be a forum member to guess, so register now to play.   We'll post the winner when the contest is over.  Good luck!

Post your guess below, and Good luck!

Wow, it's already at $60K, and there's still eight days to go!  I knew these were desirable cars, and I think they're really cool, but I had no idea they went for that kind of scratch.

Since NADA is turning up nothing, and since I don't have any knowledge of these cars on my own, I'll guess randomly and say $72K.

I'll go with a bid of $60,000 as it looks like no one will be bidding. What a shame its a beautiful car.

I'll go with 62,500... I'd expect a late minute bidder to add this to their collection.

Sadly this is living proof the the sign of the economy. No bids on a fantastic looking car. It should easily be worth a lot more than the opening bid.

This is a bummer.    Seeing that it didn't get a high bid, I think we should roll the contest over into a new one.    We'll post up the new contest soon.

I'll venture a guess at 65,000.

It should go for a lot more, but I would say $79500.
