2010 Camaro Reveal Video
Video from the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro RS reveal held at the Final Assembly shop at GM.    GM Officials claim the new Camaro is a "balanced" mix of power and economy, with the 300hp V6 version boasting 26 - 27 mpg on the highway.    Of course, the V8 version will offer more power when it's revealed.

2008 Pontiac G8

The 2008 Pontiac G8 GT was introduced at the Chicago auto show, and while it shares a new platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, it's still very obviously a Pontiac, though admittedly it's one with a low enough beltline that from inside the view is spectacular, even though it's fairly subtle.  We liked the understated approach from Pontiac in their new high-performance sedan.

ZR1 Corvette Hits 205 MPH
The Corvette Development Engineering team took the new ZR1 to the test track in Papenburg, Germany and put the
pedal to the metal to see just how fast it could go.    Come along for a 205 mph ride!

Clean '69 Camaro Has The Look
Bob Chiluk's 1969 Camaro is built with Pro-Touring style, but it's subtle approach is what makes it stand out.   The Fathom Green exterior makes the white stripes "pop," and that's where you start to see the details creeping in.     Bob nailed the stance with the Intro Speed Star wheels, and the built small block has plenty of power to shred 'em.    Shot at the 2007 Run Through The Hills event.

Killer '66 Corvette Shreds Autocross Course
We spied this 1966 Corvette at the Run Through The Hills event last fall, and although it's not 100% completed, the owner was having tons of fun with it.   Powered by an LT1 350 Corvette fuel injected engine and sitting on a newer C4 Corvette chassis, this car really burns up the drag strip and the autocross.   In fact, it won in both events!

J. Bittle's Vintage 1968 Mustang Trans Am Racecar
This vintage Trans Am Mustang has been raced it's whole life.  Trans Am cars from the 1960's are cool. For those not in the know, Trans Am was a road racing series which dictated that the cars competing relied heavily on factory parts. Local racers had the chance to share the track with factory-backed teams and hero drivers like Parnelli Jones, Mark Donohue and Dan Gurney and compete for cash. J. Bittle rescued this vintage 1968 Mustang that competed in the Trans Am series in the late 1960's.

2008 Ford Expedition King Ranch Review

While SUV reviews are not the usual content at V8TV, we have been seeking candidates to pull our enclosed car hauler around in comfort.  The King Ranch certainly qualifies.  There's a phrase they use in the Lone Star State to describe large things: Texas-sized. If ever any SUV lived up to that description, it would be the Ford Expedition King Ranch, because not only does it weigh a bit over 6100 pounds and easy to get insurance quotes , it also has a cabin big enough to really be your mobile home on the range, or on the road.

1000 Horsepower Chevy Impala SS
The guys at Finish Line Performance know how to make power, and they also know how to build killer cars.  Take this 1996 Chevy Impala SS.    While in the care of the FLP crew, what started as a decent performer from the factory has morphed into a fully-streetable 1000 HP show and go machine.   It sports a Procharged and nitrous oxide injected 383 stroker backed by a 6-speed manual, and finishes with a full custom interior and competition audio system.  The interesting side story is that the car's owner enjoyed his FLP / Impala experience so much, he bought into the company!   Dan Bills takes us through the highlights of the black beast.

2009 Dodge Challenger Reveal
The 2009 Dodge Challenger Family revealed at the 2008 New York Auto Show, unveiling the RT.   Also includes the SRT-8.

Rad Rides By Troy 1956 Chrysler 300
Troy Trepanier has wanted to build a 1956 Chrysler 300 for a long time, and now the time has come.   Taking inspriation from the Sniper project of 1996, this Chysler will also have a Viper suspension, but that's where the similarities end.   The engine will be a twin-turbo Nextel Cup Dodge motor, the frame is all pieced together from individual sections of .090" Crome Moly steel sheet (!) and the outside will retain an original '56 appearance.   It's going to be subtle like a sledge to the head.

2008 Corvette Indy Pace Car
The Indy 500 has announced two Chevrolet Corvettes will serve as this year's pace car, with former champ Emerson Fittipaldi as the driver. This is Chevrolet's 19th time serving as the race's official pace vehicle and the 10th time a Corvette has been used. To start the race, Fittipaldi will drive an ethanol-powered Corvette Z06 E85 concept car. The next vehicle he will drive is a special edition Corvette, designed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1978 Corvette Indy 500 pace car.
