Back in 1967, Felix Lopez bought a 1967 Chevrolet RS/SS Camaro from Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago, featuring a high-performance 427 with a 4-speed and 3 2-barrel carbs. Amazingly, he still owns and shows the car today. What's perhaps more amazing is that Lopez served an 8-year tour in the Viet Nam War, making him and his Nickey Camaro great examples of what we call "Survivors." Shot at the 2010 Chicago World Of Wheels / Chevy Vettefest show.

The Roadster Shop builds some killer cars, and they were recently out beating up one of their most amazing creations, the RSC1 Corvette. Starting life as a 1962 Corvette, the Roadster Shop crew transformed every piece of this car into a slick high-tech version of the timeless C1 Corvette. Starting with a complete new RS Performance chassis, they added a GM LS7 engine, Kinsler EFI, giant brakes, and all the right parts to make it stop, go, and turn. Then they reworked every panel on the car, added a custom interior, and started winning awards. We think the best part is that this car gets driven hard on road course and autocross tracks. This interview was shot at the 2009 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational, and is part of an upcoming DVD of the event.

Charley Lillard brought his 1970 Chevrolet Camaro "garage find" to the first annual Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals show in Rosemont, Il. Our buddy Shafi Keisler caught up with Charley to learn the story of this legitimate 1130 mile all-original car. Lillard obtained the car from the original owner who parked it after it got dinged one day, and it sat in a heated garage for nearly 40 years. Would you believe original air in the tires? Check out Charley's website for more on this incredible car!

Project American Heroes 3 is a fantastic 1970 Chevelle built by Route 66 Motorsports to be auctioned off to raise funds for the Armed Forces Foundation. Our buddy Shafi Keisler caught up with Bill Jelinek at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals show in Rosemont, IL, for the tour of this trick Chevelle. It features a new GM LSA supercharged engine, TCI 4L80E transmission, Detroit Speed suspension, and about a million other cool parts. Best of all, the proceeds go to help support wounded American soldiers. You can learn more about the car and foundation at the Project American Heroes 3 website.

Here's a 2 part story starring a red 1969 Camaro that was far too slow for it's good looks. We had the opportunity to do a performance makeover on this sweet looking car, and the star of the show is a Fast Times Motorworks built 383. The new mill features a Scat 3.750 stroker steel crank, Scat I-beam 6 inch rods, and SRP pistons combining for a 10.0:1 compression ratio for street drivability. The Comp Cams hydraullic roller camshaft works its magic under a set of polished Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads and Crane roller rocker arms. A polished Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake and a polished Weiand Action Plus water pump add sparkle and power, and a new Holley Street Avenger Aluminum 670 CFM carb mixes the fuel. Spark is handled by an MSD Digital E-Curve distributor, teaming up with the MSD Blaster 2 coil and Superconductor plug wires. Hooker Competition headers wearing a new Darksides black ceramic coating exhaust the gasses, and we installed a new TCI Saturday Night Special torque converter to raise the stall RPM so this beast launches in its powerband. This combo spun the Fast Times Dyno to the tune of 440 ft. lbs. at 4300 RPM and 446 horsepower at 6000 RPM. Click "Read More" for videos!

The 2010 Chevy Camaro finally reaches showrooms across America, and the demand for the new musclecar has been high! We've spotted them on the streets, and really like the look. It's one of those car designs that's best appreciated in person. News reports are currently saying that GM is adding shifts and keeping plants open longer to accomodate for the large demand for new Camaros, which is great news for the Chevrolet brand.

Team D'Agostino / Scavo brough out the twin-turbo Camaro to a testing session recently in Bowling Green, KY. The goal was to work out some electrical issues they were fighting at the end of last year's racing season, and the team is making some serious progress. In this short video, the car makes a 1000-foot pass at around 7 seconds. Be sure to check out the hula doll in the rear window, and it's fun to watch the tower dissappear out the rear window... these things can get a little squirly! The Camaro has since gone 6.92 at over 208 in the quarter... still in testing. Watch the hula doll!

Nick Scavo and Jeff D'Agostino recently acquired the 1991 Chevrolet Camaro race car originally started by Scavo, then completed by Chuck Samuel and the crew at Chassis Engineering. Confused? Seeing that Nick has been behind the wheel of 3 different race cars in the past 3 years, it's not an easy story to follow. We took this opportunity to launch V8TV Web Radio to sort out the details, and in this video, Nick takes us through the car... a twin turbo Outlaw 10.5 race car headed for the mid 6-second quarter mile range at well over 200 miles per hour.

Joe Kosiba is one of those guys who likes to keep his stuff in order. His house and truck are always spotless, and his garage is so clean it could double as a showroom. We've often found that shops that are too clean never see any work, but Joe also knows how to get things done. Take his '63 Nova, for example. He's owned it for a long time, and it has gone through several transformations over the years, resulting in the car you see in this video. Today it's an arrow-straight street / strip terror that makes around 1000 horsepower from a small block sucking Nitrous Oxide. In this video, Joe takes the car to the World Street Challenge to run in the Wild Street class where you have to drive the car 30 miles, then run back-to-back dragstrip passes to qualify. Joe's Nova ended up winning the class with low 9-second quarter mile passes at around 150 miles per hour. If you ask Joe, it's just good clean fun. You can also see this car featured in the May, 2009, Car Craft Magazine. Click Read More for video!
