We spied this 1966 Corvette at the Run Through The Hills event last fall, and although it's not 100% completed, the owner was having tons of fun with it. Powered by an LT1 350 Corvette fuel injected engine and sitting on a newer C4 Corvette chassis, this car really burns up the drag strip and the autocross. In fact, it won in both events!

The guys at Finish Line Performance know how to make power, and they also know how to build killer cars. Take this 1996 Chevy Impala SS. While in the care of the FLP crew, what started as a decent performer from the factory has morphed into a fully-streetable 1000 HP show and go machine. It sports a Procharged and nitrous oxide injected 383 stroker backed by a 6-speed manual, and finishes with a full custom interior and competition audio system. The interesting side story is that the car's owner enjoyed his FLP / Impala experience so much, he bought into the company! Dan Bills takes us through the highlights of the black beast.

The Indy 500 has announced two Chevrolet Corvettes will serve as this year's pace car, with former champ Emerson Fittipaldi as the driver. This is Chevrolet's 19th time serving as the race's official pace vehicle and the 10th time a Corvette has been used. To start the race, Fittipaldi will drive an ethanol-powered Corvette Z06 E85 concept car. The next vehicle he will drive is a special edition Corvette, designed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1978 Corvette Indy 500 pace car.

The crew at Rad Rides by Troy have turned their attention to a 1970 Chevy Nova, and believe us, it's not going to be like any Nova ever built before. Kelle takes some time to ask Troy Trepanier all about the project.

This 1963 Split Window Corvette is a street-driven vintage race car. This bright red road coarse warrior has been raced all its life, and today it wears the evolutionary remnants as evidence. Back in the day, this was an SCCA terror racing on Midwest coarses throughout the 1960's. But like many race cars, the Corvette was constantly being upgraded and modified to remain competitive.

Vintage straight-axle cars, often known as "Gassers", are popular wherever they go. Maybe it's the sky-high stance or the cartoon-like appearance. Or perhaps it's the way these cars transport you to a simpler time when racers would try just about anything to go faster. Whatever it is, these cars draw crowds of people because they look like nothing else on the track. "Mr. Chevy" is a period-perfect example of a 1955 Chevy Hardtop gasser raced from 1968 through 1976 where it was parked. Larry Frees knew the original owner and rescued Mr. Chevy at an estate sale. Today, he shares the car with enthusiasts wherever he goes.
