Our 1962 Galaxie 500 XL ragtop is an ongoing project on V8TV. The car started out as a "3 week restoation" when it needed a front sheetmetal fix. That was in 1993, and it ain't done yet.
We're getting ready to take our 1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible on a road trip across the USA, and you can come with us! Well, sorta. We'll be posting videos from the road several times per day, and if the technology works right, we may be able to have a live map drop pins online. Here's a quick video, and you can post comments in the Forum Thread on the trip!

This has been a good summer - we've actually had time to drive our 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL convertible around quite a bit. Now, we're possibly taking a multi-state road trip with the car, and it's time do to some maintenance on a Friday night. Little things like Royal Purple fluid changes, installing a better Spal fan control switch, fixing the e-brake... you get the idea. Kelle and Kevin are working on it.
Installing a hydroboost brake booster from Hydratech completely transformed the stopping abilities of this 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. One area of muscle car performance that remains tricky is the braking system. Sometimes, even cars equipped with upgraded brakes don’t stop as well as you want them to. We found a potential solution to this problem and a couple others in the form of a Hydroboost brake booster.
