Nick Scavo always has interesting projects in his garage, and the latest is a 1967 Corvette roadster. Nick's going to be installing an EFI big block Chevy, upgrading the brakes, rewiring the car, and adding new wheels, tires, and exhaust, among other things. We stopped by for a quick look at the project.

Brett Evans added these trick billet hood hinges from Ring Brothers Performance to his 1965 Mustang to solve the problem of poorly-fitting hoods... it's more often the hinges than the hood!

We took a trip to Butler Performance to build the engine for Project Splitter , and while we were there, Rodney Butler showed us what he claims to be the highest horsepower Pontiac engine anywhere. It makes about 3000 horsepower with 2 91mm turbos and just under 50lbs of boost, but perhaps one of the most amazing parts is that it uses regular production Edelbrock Performer Pontiac aluminum cylinder heads! The same heads you can get in any high performance parts retailer can be massaged to flow enough to support 3000 horsepower with the right parts! The team at Butler have been building killer Pontiac engines for years, and they've got everything you could want to build a stocker to a Pro-Mod car. Look for the Splitter engine build on V8TV and this site soon!

We found a cool old bus on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. We thought it was cool, anyway. We're lucky we didn't wake up whoever was living inside, because they probably weren't up for being on-camera. After a little research, we found it to be a 1950-or-so Flxible bus. Someone should rescue it!

We recently attended a tuning session at Hahn Racecraft and had the chance to hang out with Bill Hahn. This 27 minute interview covers Hahn's invlovement with all things turbo related since the early 1970s up through the bolt-on kits they sell for late model V8-powered musclecars. This video covers alot of topics pertaining to turbo systems and engine management, and finishes off with a ride in Hahn's 4.6 liter 2005 Mustang GT saddled with their new twin turbo kit. The car makes over 400hp to the wheels at 8psi, and drives like it is stock. Pretty cool stuff!

Here's another V8TV "Behind The Scenes" interview with Dan Bills of Finish Line Performance. Dan's no stranger to speed, as he campaigned a 202-mph Mustang in the 10.5" tire street car drag ranks, and he's got a new car coming out soon. When not racing, Dan is one of the many knowledgable crew members at Finish Line Performance. This time, Dan takes us through their shop in a 19 minute conversation which touches on a variety of cool projects they had in the shop at the time, including a turbo Hemi Dodge Magnum in the works, the John Reese's Corvette - the fastest stock-suspension C5 Corvette in the world, a Mallet LS2 Pontiac Solstice, a killer supercharged '67 Mustang, and many more supercharged and turbocharged V8 late model musclecars. Sit back and hang out with Dan and the FLP crew.

Great message boards are essential tools when it comes to buildling a car project. One such board that we like is Lateral-G.net, a site dedicated to high-performance musclecars that accelerate, turn, and stop better than a stock version could ever do. Lateral-G is also loaded with very cool feature cars and tech to help any enthusiast build their dream Pro-Touring machine. We caught up with Scott Gulbranson, the man behind Lateral-G, for a short chat at the SEMA show.

Mark Bowler runs Bowler Performance Transmissions, which is quicky becoming the transmission builder of choice for many of the most popular car builders around the country. Chip Foose, Troy Trepanier, and various TV shows all call Bowler when they need a trans done right. We spent an afternoon with Mark, and this is a LONG (24 minute!) interview with the man behind the gears.
