 We took a trip to Butler Performance to build the engine for Project Splitter , and while we were there, Rodney Butler showed us what he claims to be the highest horsepower Pontiac engine anywhere. It makes about 3000 horsepower with 2 91mm turbos and just under 50lbs of boost, but perhaps one of the most amazing parts is that it uses regular production Edelbrock Performer Pontiac aluminum cylinder heads! The same heads you can get in any high performance parts retailer can be massaged to flow enough to support 3000 horsepower with the right parts! The team at Butler have been building killer Pontiac engines for years, and they've got everything you could want to build a stocker to a Pro-Mod car. Look for the Splitter engine build on V8TV and this site soon!

 We found a cool old bus on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. We thought it was cool, anyway. We're lucky we didn't wake up whoever was living inside, because they probably weren't up for being on-camera. After a little research, we found it to be a 1950-or-so Flxible bus. Someone should rescue it!

 We recently attended a tuning session at Hahn Racecraft and had the chance to hang out with Bill Hahn. This 27 minute interview covers Hahn's invlovement with all things turbo related since the early 1970s up through the bolt-on kits they sell for late model V8-powered musclecars. This video covers alot of topics pertaining to turbo systems and engine management, and finishes off with a ride in Hahn's 4.6 liter 2005 Mustang GT saddled with their new twin turbo kit. The car makes over 400hp to the wheels at 8psi, and drives like it is stock. Pretty cool stuff!

 Here's another V8TV "Behind The Scenes" interview with Dan Bills of Finish Line Performance. Dan's no stranger to speed, as he campaigned a 202-mph Mustang in the 10.5" tire street car drag ranks, and he's got a new car coming out soon. When not racing, Dan is one of the many knowledgable crew members at Finish Line Performance. This time, Dan takes us through their shop in a 19 minute conversation which touches on a variety of cool projects they had in the shop at the time, including a turbo Hemi Dodge Magnum in the works, the John Reese's Corvette - the fastest stock-suspension C5 Corvette in the world, a Mallet LS2 Pontiac Solstice, a killer supercharged '67 Mustang, and many more supercharged and turbocharged V8 late model musclecars.
