Dodge rode the space-age wave all the way to the shores with this one.

Dodge Chargers have always been hot cars, but the 1966-1967 varieties are often overlooked. We don't know why; they had power, performance, and style all their own.

Lingle’s Charger features a stock 383 4-Barrel engine, and it runs like it did when new. These cars were offered with Hemi power, but Lingle pointed out that this particular version was marketed towards families as an alternative to station wagons. What? Read on.

The neato 4-bucket seat interior and high-style dashboard scream “bachelor pad”, but Lingle told us that the rear seats fold completely flat for station-wagon like utility allowing one to transport large items. We can hear the Dodge salesman’s pitch now… “This way, you didn’t have to sacrifice the cool looks and strong performance of a musclecar if you needed to lay someone… er, something down in the back.” Uh-huh.

Any way you look at it, this Charger is cool. 4-place bucket seats, full-length console, electro-luminescent gauges... they all sound like things you'd see on today's trendiest machines, but Dodge had 'em all back in 1966.
