16 year old kids are in a tough spot these days. We're not talking about the pressures of daily life and all that B.S.; we're refering to the fact that the kids who are into cool cars usually don't have the cash or the ability to get their mitts on a cool ride. Add to that un-sympathetic parents, and you've got millions of high schoolers rollin' beat up civics or other cheap junk. Dale Schwartz has a leg up, however, with his new project they're calling the Y-Gen 3rd-Gen. It's a Trans Am that's a full 7 years older than Dale, but he was able to build a car he wanted the way he wanted.

Here's what happens when you grow up around road race cars - you build a corner-carver for your first ride.

Dale Schwartz' 1982 Pontiac Trans Am is anything but typical. Mixing V-8 musclecar performance, Pro-Touring brakes, suspension, wheels, and tires, and tuner-inspired looks, it's a fresh take on an often overlooked platform.

Dale just turned 16, and he and his dad wheeled and dealed this car into reality, with Dale doing most of the work himself. Check out his web page at Schwartz Extreme Performance.
