Kelle's 1954 Chevy Truck Blog #12: It's Done! E-mail

PoorBest
Kelle's 1954 Chevy pickup truck project is finished... for now, anyway!    The final details were all tied up and it's been on the road for a couple weeks.    Kelle loves it, and it's doing a great job of hauling our stuff around.    We say it's finished "for now"... everyone knows these projects are never completely finished, but Kelle's going to drive this one around for a while before the next upgrades are considered.    Come along for a cruise in the "3 on the tree" 6-cylinder race truck!

Kelle's truck when the project first started...

And how it looks now!

I too am working on an old Chevy truck. The 50 3/4 ton, purchased by my dad in 53, was handed down to me. It too is a farm truck with many years of hard work under its hood and not very pretty. I thought I was the only person who wants to just get it on the road with safety features and some convenience items. I have upgraded to disc brakes and a better steering gear, but everything I\\\'ve done can be reversed back to original condition. No high dollar show truck for me. Thanks

Always loved the early trucks. Yet another good video series. Please keep us updated with new videos on how its going. the straight 6's are under rated for DD and even cruising.

May be worth adding a pass side mirror, in particular if its a work truck (also good safety factor)
