Mopar musclecars came in all shapes and sizes, but this 1971 'Cuda 440 6-Pack is one of one in its color combination.
John Gust (A.K.A. Johnny Horsepower) is a unique muscle car fanatic, and his taste for the unique led him to a '71 Cuda that is also one of a kind.
The latest addition to his impressive collection of rare musclecars is this ultra rare (how’s one of one known to exist!) 1971 Plymouth Cuda ‘440 6-Pack, complete with the correct purple exterior, white interior, and white billboard stripes. Most of the car is Original save for a 1979 repaint, and an under hood detail job. But that doesn’t keep Mr. Horsepower from running this 26xxx mile specimen. He likes to run it through the gears and watch that shaker scoop do its thing!
Did you say white billboards? That’s the hook with this car, as there are no other 440 6-Packs known in this color combo. Most of the car is Original save for a 1979 repaint, and an under-hood detail job. The white interior is just starting to yellow, but that's a cool sign of it's originality. The hood tach is a period-correct Dixco piece that came with the car from the Original owner. Cool!
The 440 6-Pack 4-speed mill is correct down to the date-coded wires, and it's got everything the trim tag calls for.
Johnny Horsepower holds up the broadcast sheet...proof that this is the real deal, and it's in the Chrysler Registry as well.
These cars are made to be driven, and Johnny Horsepower drives them hard! You should see the heads turn when this purple monster blows by.
