Wiring a car can be a pain, especially chasing down shorted circuits and troubleshooting. ISIS came up with the Intelligent Multiplex System which sends a digital signal to each item in the car, and triggers them to behave in a pre-programmed way. This allows you to program your switches in the dash to do things never before possible, trouble shoot the system with no tools, save weight, increase security, and reduce dangerous sparks and fire hazards.
