Here's a 2 part story starring a red 1969 Camaro that was far too slow for it's good looks.    We had the opportunity to do a performance makeover on this sweet looking car, and the star of the show is a Fast Times Motorworks built 383.   The new mill features a Scat 3.750 stroker steel crank, Scat I-beam 6 inch rods, and SRP pistons combining for a 10.0:1 compression ratio for street drivability.   The Comp Cams hydraullic roller camshaft works its magic under a set of polished Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads and Crane roller rocker arms.   A polished Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake and a polished Weiand Action Plus water pump add sparkle and power, and a new Holley Street Avenger Aluminum 670 CFM carb mixes the fuel.   Spark is handled by an MSD Digital E-Curve distributor, teaming up with the MSD Blaster 2 coil and Superconductor plug wires.   Hooker Competition headers wearing a new Darksides black ceramic coating exhaust the gasses, and we installed a new TCI Saturday Night Special torque converter to raise the stall RPM so this beast launches in its powerband.   This combo spun the Fast Times Dyno to the tune of 440 ft. lbs. at 4300 RPM and 446 horsepower at 6000 RPM.    Click "Read More" for videos!

Be sure to watch the whole video - part 2 starts after the commercial break!
