This 1971 Dodge Challenger is a great example of a car that has all the right detials in all the right places.
Kevin Rennecker's 1971 Dodge Challenger is a great example of an owner-built Pro Touring Mopar with all the right parts in all the right places.
There's no doubt about it, Mopar musclecars are hot. Rennecker's Challenger is a car which could be a crowd pleaser if it were bone stock, but it's wow factor has been Tuned up thanks to an assortment of clean mods that work well with the car.
Under the hood, Rennicker's Challenger is now boasting a 426 Hemi... complete with '71 era valve covers and shaker scoop. A more agressive cam adds more lope to the already muscluar motor, but the underhood visual effect is that of a restored original.
The interior is again a clean mix of resto parts cleanly assembled for a great looking package with maximum attention to fit and detail. The white faced gauges work great with the white seats.
But perhaps the most eye-catching aspect of this car is the color and the stance. Shot in Plum Crazy purple, the Challenger boasts an awesome stance thanks to lowered torison bars and 17-inch Budnik wheels. Side exhausts add to the speedy look, as does the rear Wing and front chin spoiler. This is one Mopar that looks like... and IS... great fun to drive!
