Manifold Artwork...

I lifted this post from yellowbullet.com - the craftsman behind these magnificent manifolds is getting his business off the ground, and the quality is amazing, so I thought we should help him promote his shop.     Below is his post.  - KO

Man,  I keep going back and looking at this work. It's obvious this isn't John's first rodeo. It's one thing to be able to weld like that but that's just the start. You need major fab skills,  how to handle materials, material knowledge, great equipment, the knowledge on how to use that equip. effectively,  how to prep materials, welding machine knowledge, patience, a super steady hand, mental vision on what the end result should be and the list goes on and on. It's very exciting for me to see work like this and it's awesome when stuff like this just "pop's" out of the woodwork. Thanks for posting the pictures Kevin.

And thanks for your kind words Kevin,,,,I guess I'll put you back on my Christmas list !!

Gald to be back on the list, Dan!       You're right about everything you said... it's those elements that only experience can bring.     I can't tell you how frustrating it is to not have the material play along because it's not cleaned properly or it's contaminated... or to not be able to see what you're working on, or to not have the machine dialed-in exactly... sometimes I get so pissed with the setup that I lose my mojo to make the part!     Luckily we have some good tools that didn't take long to learn, and you soon learn how to fixture stuff and get comfortable and relaxed so the process can happen.     I'm still a million lightyears away from anything like the parts in the photos, but it's a rewarding challenge to try.

Kevin,
What I did is downloaded the pics to a file and then looked at them. It worked out well.
