The ZR9 1969 Camaro was an awesome car to build, and today, it is being shipped home to its owner on the other side of the world from us here at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop.   We were fortunate to build this 804 HP pro-touring Camaro, and we enjoyed the build almost as much as we like the finished car!    Now we entrust Reliable Carriers to start the journey across the USA and then hand it over to the shipping company for it's trip overseas to the owner.   It's been a great ride, thanks to all who were involved and to the owner for letting us build this great car!  You can see the entire build process at

We had a great time building the ZR9 Camaro in the V8 Speed & Resto Shop, and we recently had the chance to take some cool shots of the car.     What do you think?

Our friend Erich Huber from DFT Details stopped by the V8 Speed & Resto Shop to help us put a shine on the ZR9 1969 Camaro.    We'll be posting a video on some detail tricks with Erich on this car using DFT products, so be on the lookout for ways to make your ride (and stay) looking great!

The 1969 Camaro "ZR9" is a brand-new Camaro powered by an LS7 style 427 with an LS9 supercharger, and today we took it to the chassis dyno at Larry's Electric to break-in the driveline. We had a few hiccups, but the car ended up making over 620 horsepower to the wheels!

We're building a 1969 Camaro featuring an 804 horsepower LS9 supercharged LS7 427-based MAST built V8, and we needed it to breathe freely! Our solution was to install a MagnaFlow 3" stainless exhaust system. Starting with a kit built specifically for a '69 Camaro, we added some pieces to snake the tail pipes around the Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear suspension. The end result is a free-flowing, all mandrel-bent stainless exhaust system that looks great, sounds mean, and does not choke down our supercharged power plant.
